An Olympic style torch was carried through the streets by an intrepid Jesus Army team recently.
Members of the Jesus Army in Oxford had decided to take their faith out of their Sunday church event and demonstrate it publically. So they organised their paper torch relay to demonstrate "carrying the fire of God". People watching cheered them on as they ran past.
"It was just a bit of fun, but it did turn heads; it was a bit crazy really" said Peter Taylor, a Jesus Army leader. "God's love is so powerful it's like fire. And we want to carry it to people everywhere."
