DRUG DEALER GOES FREE
Present-day parable
JESUS taught: Two men prayed to God. One was a human rights worker, the other a drug dealer.
The human rights worker declared openly: "Oh God, I thank You that I am not like so many other people, I don't cheat or steal, I don't sleep around. I give to charity and buy organic food. And I'm definitely not like that thug over there."
The dealer just hid in the corner, he could not even look up but hid his face and said. "God, have mercy on me, a sinner."
It was the drug dealer who went home accepted by God, not the human rights worker. Anyone who holds himself proud will fall
flat on his face, but if anyone is humble before God, he will be made to stand tall.
Feeling bad?
What kind of person are you? Sometimes God does choose to ignore our prayers, but if we are humble He will always listen to us. Check out the original in Luke 18:9-14
