Things hadn't gone well and Declan and 'TJ' were homeless. They came to the Jesus Army marquee in Liverpool where TJ asked Dave to pray for Declan.

When we were kids," he explained, "we were mucking about in a derelict house and Declan fell off scaffolding and cracked the back of his skull. He was in a coma for six months. When he came round he'd lost his hearing in both ears. Can God heal him?"

Dave prayed. A big smile spread over Declan's face but it wasn't till TJ talked later to Dave that he realised God's miracle had happened - Declan's hearing had come back in one ear.

"You wouldn't know," explained TJ, "but that's the first time he's smiled in years."
