SO WHAT DO YOU WORSHIP?
Are you ready to take up the challenge of the 21st century?
The 90s belonged, perhaps rightly, to women as they sought to have basic equal rights. But does this mean men are a redundant part of the human race?
The biologists tell us that the male sperm count is going down. Might cloning mean that one day men are unnecessary?
In God's purposes, both men and women were created to love and serve Him, to be in harmony together, and with the Maker of the universe.
And what do we worship?
What do we spend our short lives doing? Stockpiling sin? Leaving a trail of broken, damaged lives? Longing for the fulfilment which always seemed to elude us?
In Jesus, God offers both men and women a way back to Himself, a way to find love and purpose in their lives. Let's take our lead from the testimony of a young man, Iain, who is finding his real strength of character in Jesus.
"Since finding faith in Jesus and my place in God's family, I've known a lot of healing inside me. I'd been searching for reality, and the love and acceptance in the church gave me real hope and set me free!
"I want to be a man who is sensitive to people and yet is brave in following God's way. God made men to provide strength and covering, but men can abuse that with their insecurities.
"Jesus is the great example of a man who carried humility and yet changed the world with His passion for the kingdom of God. I guess I just want to keep learning to live like Him."
