Surprise discovery awaited returning far-east traveller

Graham had always believed in God and longed for truth.
His search took him through drug abuse, into various philosophies, and then into a long, worldwide commitment to the Krishna movement.
After living in a Krishna temple in London, Graham moved with the group to Malaysia. His aim was to escape from the materialism and sexual enticement of the western world.
But he became guilt-ridden after a secret meeting with a Thai prostitute. Nursing his shame, he went to India, then to China, still with the Krishna movement.
Finally, Graham decided to come back to Britain. He arrived with five pounds in his pocket, a deep sense of guilt and the fear of being HIV positive.
Graham hitched back to see his parents. There he met Mark, an old friend who was a committed Christian.
Even as a Krishna devotee, Graham had prayed, "Jesus, if You are truly God and I am being deceived, please get me out."
Now God really broke through. Graham found a faith in Jesus which brought a deep sense of forgiveness and cleansing and carried him through the difficult time of finding restoration from the damage and confusion of the past.
HIV tests proved negative, but more than this Graham knows he is free from all shame, guilt and fear, and certain that he has now found God for real.
