Jesus Army: Magazine - Rant and rave

SO WHAT IS it like to be a soldier of the modern Jesus army?

It is the most challenging, radical and awesome experience I can imagine.

Living for the cause of Jesus: sacrificing all to follow Him and fulfil the calling which God has placed on our lives. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can walk in a covenant relationship with Him and His people. What does this mean? It means we belong to each other and together we belong to God. We give up what the world shouts we can't do without and live to become part of a highly visible church in a dark and corrupt society.

We're willing to serve the poor and rejected. We love the spiritually bankrupt and pour out our lives to those in need.

Jonathan Sherlock I believe that there is nothing more important to Jesus on this earth, than His Church, the Body of Christ. That's why I want to be part of a radical church which gives its all for Him.

The modern Jesus army is a vibrant, colourful and out-front expression of what it is to be a "holy nation", set apart, living for the cause of the "Lamb that was slain".

I love the expression of the Body of Christ which is the mJa. This church is where God has destined me to be - and this is where I intend to stay until the end of my days.
