Today's young generation is often called the 'i-Generation' or 'Generation X'. The 'whatever (if it's there, do it)' generation.
They've been hurt. They're against authority, against institutions (parliament, royalty, church, marriage). They suss hypocrisy. Cynical about religion. Yet searching for reality, ready to be convinced by what is genuine.
Many of Generation X have changed to the J Generation. They don't become 'religious'. They just meet the living Jesus! They experience God as Father, Jesus as Friend and Saviour, the Holy Spirit as life, love and power.
To their surprise they find that church means joyful, genuine people. It means good music and modern songs, real love and caring, a sense of 'family' and healing and freedom!
That's the J Generation. Join us for a time. Test it for yourself. You're welcome! Any time!

TOUGH ENUF? - TAKE THE PLEDGE
The J Generation Pledge
|
As young men and women of the J Generation, we will rise up to pledge ourselves to a lifestyle of godly strength and to call our generation to faith in Jesus Christ.
We assert our right to lead this generation and to shape society, and will not be led by those who are spiritually and morally bankrupt.
We will not accept entertainment, sports or media stars as role models, but will have humble, strong people of God as our heroes.
Our standard will not be decided by what is "cool", but by what is right; not by what is popular, but by what is clean; not by today's culture, but by God's culture.
We will be honest, always telling the truth; we will be pure, refusing the sexual and permissive seductions of today's society; we will not allow drugs and alcohol to destroy our lives.
We will take responsibility for our own thoughts, words and actions, not blaming others for our mistakes nor hiding behind the compromised standards of authority figures in society.

We will share the pain of those without real family, and of the rejected, abused, marginalized and unjustly treated. We reject prejudice against any group.
We will bond together as loyal brothers and sisters in the church or body of Christ, finding our gifts, being true servants of one another, and uniting with all ages to show the church as a "light to the world".
We will be ready to sacrifice our own agendas and plans for the cause of Jesus, living lives of self denial and service.
We will be a generation with a free spirit, sharing "who we are", unashamed to wear a cross, identify as Christians, tell of our faith, and show "Jesus" so that many others come to know and love Him.
We will love all people, baptise believers, form cells or teams, plant and grow churches.
We will aim always to live and walk in the Holy Spirit.
