If this is your first time here ...

Look above. It's set to search the World English Bible version of the Bible, throughout the New Testament for whatever you enter in the Type your search text here box, with Ignore case and Highlight and Ignore word order ON.  To search, enter text and click the "Search" button.

To simply read the Bible, select the Book you want and click the Read button.

To read the Bible

1. Select the Bible version under Choose a Bible.
2. Select the book you want to read from under Select book or range.
3. Click the Read button.
4. Once you open the chosen book, a Chapter dropdown menu appears, updated with the correct number of chapters in the book.
5. You can then also select other Bible versions and books from the dropdown menus.
6. If you select a Bible version or translation from the box on the right, it will open at the same book and chapter as you are currently reading.

Notes:

• All search options are ignored.
• If you change to a different book the Chapter dropdown will automatically update to the correct number of chapters next time you click Read.
• If you change Select book or range but leave the Chapter set to a chapter that does not exist in the new Select book or range, it will be set to 1. If the chapter does exist, you will be forwarded to that chapter when you click Read.
• The language (for the names of the books) is updated after each time you click Read.
